Simplicity

Simplicity- the quality or condition of being easy to understand or do. This meal prep recipe is an exact example of a simple meal that anyone can make & enjoy. This is one of my favorite go-to meal prep ideas because it’s packed with flavor, cheap, easy to make and can be easily made to fit your dietary needs through portion control.

Tip: 1. For weight loss diets- use most veggies, less rice, and least protein !

2. For lean muscle gain diets- use most protein, less rice and least veggies. !

Ingredients-

  • 5 chicken breasts or salmon filets
  • creole, black pepper and Italian seasoning blend – 1/4 tbsp of each
  • 1 box of brown rice
  • 1/2 cup of carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1- 1.5 cup sliced squash
  • 1/2 cup spinach or kale
  • 2 tbsp of chopped garlic

Instructions-

1) grill salmon or chicken in an olive oil
greased pan w/seasoning ,1.5 tbsp of chopped garlic, and half of onions
– cook until both sides of meat are evenly done
2) saute the rest of onions, carrots, squash, spinach/kale,and 1/4 tbsp
garlic in a skillet with olive oil and seasoning blend
until every vegetable is soft
3) boil/ steam rice- when rice is finished mix 1/4 tbsp of
olive oil, seasoning blend and 1/4 tsp of garlic in a
pan & cook for 1-2 min on low
4) arrange in a container & ENJOY WHEN READY
